This new version, transcribed only for wind instruments and percussion, takes up period electronics without retouches or additions.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There is not a real rewriting of the piece that keeps its proportions and source texts.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In this version, the five acoustic instruments initially amplified and set in space are slightly modified (electronically)with the purpose of creating a union between today\u2019s acoustic and yesterday\u2019s synthetic sound.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This \u201ctranslation\u201d of the original text, specially done for the Hic et Nunc ensemble, has been made with Geneva\u2019s International Percussion Centre\u2019s support.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ka is a kind of double that each person had in ancient Egypt. Ka refers to the divine creative power, as well as the conservation forces that maintain the universal order.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Why musical poems?\u00a0 Why 5?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For me, a secret urban correspondence is interwoven today between lyric poetry, epic, and music.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There is no narration. Here, rhythmicity and metric are the reflection and the heart itself of a grammar that is close to poetry and that allows us to emphasise the emotion that emerges through musical metaphors.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Five has its history; it is the main regulator. It organises and synthesises by nature. The balance being between the binary and the ternary, it embodies that union which each one of us hopes to acquire. For the Maya people, it represented the God of Corn, which was important. In ancient Japan, the elements were five: earth, water, fire, air, and space.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Each one of these poems may be opened with a keyword:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The body<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The breath<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The vibration<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The battle (Old German for the epic ears of Borges)<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The depths of the
